Vorkurs Mathematik / Preparatory course of Mathematics

Für den Einstieg in das Studium der Physik sind solide Vorkenntnisse in Physik und Mathematik erwünscht, wie sie z.B. in den Abiturprüfungen dieser Fächer vorausgesetzt werden.

Zur Verbesserung und Auffrischung der Vorkenntnisse in Mathematik wird die Teilnahme an einem 2-wöchigen Vorkurs Mathematik empfohlen, den das Institut für Physik vor Beginn der Lehrveranstaltungen des Wintersemesters anbietet.

Organisatorische Hinweise zum Vorkurs Mathematik (Termine, Zeiten, Ort usw.) finden Sie im Veranstaltungsverzeichnis des Wintersemesters.

Hier finden Sie eine Inhaltsangabe zum Vorkurs, anhand derer Sie überprüfen können, ob Sie über die nötigen Mathematikkenntnisse bereits verfügen. Falls nein, sollten Sie den Vorkurs Mathematik unbedingt besuchen.Eine Anmeldung ist nicht erforderlich.

For entering into the study of Physics, sound basic knowledge of Physics and Mathematics is desirable as, e.g., required for the school-leaving examination in these subjects.

To improve and refresh their basic knowledge of Mathematics, students are advised to attend a two-week preparatory course of Mathematics offered by the Institute of Physics before the lectures of the winter term start.

Here you find a table of contents  which will help you to check up, whether you have already gained the required knowledge of Mathematics. If you have not, you should really attend the preparatory course of Mathematics.A registration is not required.
