About Oldenburg:
Oldenburg is a scenic city of about 150 000 inhabitants. It is located in
the state of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen) about 40 kilometers northwest of
Bremen and 130 kilometers southwest of Hamburg.
How to get to Oldenburg:

By air:
The closest international airports are in Bremen (40 kms away) and in
Hamburg (130 kms away). A train from Bremen to Oldenburg takes about
30 minutes and from Hamburg 1 1/2 - 3 hours depending on the type of train.
The fastest train connection from the Frankfurt airport takes about
4 hours to Oldenburg.
Hotels:
We have reserved a limited number of rooms from hotels downtown Oldenburg
for about 100 DM per night (depending on the room and the hotel) including
a breakfast-buffet. There are also cheaper and more expensive hotels
available but they are mostly located outside the city.
